Dear Reader,
Hot Fun in the Summertime. I just love that song by Sly and the Family Stone. It kicks me into gear to get ready for not only the hot days ahead – since I live in Florida - but to take the time to enjoy myself and plan to do things over the next three months that I enjoy doing. To have fun!! I love to dance, although I’d be the first to admit I’m somewhat rusty at it. So, one of my plans for the summer is to enroll in a jazzercise class. Doing so will give me the physical activity I need to get in shape while doing something I enjoy. I challenge each of you to add something to your agenda this summer; something fun that you would like doing. Please take time out for you.
Also, June 1st is the start of hurricane season. Make sure you have certain items as batteries, flashlights and drinking water, in stock.

BRENDA CREATES HER VERY OWN PUBLISHING COMPANY
So often I receive letters from readers inquiring about me doing a book for a secondary character that was introduced in one of my books. I write back and explain that although I would love doing that person’s “story”, there won’t be enough material for a traditional size book or that it won’t fall in any of the formats and guidelines established by my present publishers.
To give my readers what they want, I have established my very own publishing
company. Yes, I will still write for Harlequin and St. Martin’s. That
won’t be changing. What I’m doing is establishing another
way to bring you those stories that you want, which means more Brenda Jackson
books for you to read about the characters you want. I will depend on
you to write and identify those characters you would like me to write about.
Some of the suggestions I’ve received so far are:

You will be able to purchase these books at my online store, Amazon and several other online bookstores as well.

BRENDA’S 50TH BOOK CELEBRATION
My 50th book, Slow Burn, comes out in November and it’s
time for the celebration to begin. Everyone who went on the cruise
received an autographed poster size copy of the cover of this book. One
of these posters will be given to the first 25 people to open an account in
my online store during the grand-opening party, which will be held Monday,
June 18th from 10:00 am to noon.
Also, I’ve set up a Memory Book where I want my readers to tell me what
is their favorite Brenda Jackson book and why. I will print out
your comments and place in my memory book to keep and cherish always. Last
day to submit your email to me is August 1.
