Dear Reader,

First of all, I want to thank all of you who went cruising with me and gave it up . . . for romance.    We had a wonderful time and the feedback I’m getting is that everyone totally enjoyed themselves.   It was a wonderful party that lasted 5 days with plenty of activities and fun for all.  And I want to thank all of you who worked so hard to make the charity auction such a success. 

If you couldn’t make the cruise this time around, then get ready for 2009 when we’ll be cruising to Canada for 5 glorious days out of New York.   We’ll tour beautiful Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.   More information will be coming your way about the next Madaris Family Reunion cruise in future newsletters and on my website.

I want to thank my readers in Tampa who came out for the book-signing.   It was so good seeing all of you and spending time with you as well.  There were a lot of books to sign and I enjoyed placing my signature on each and every one of them for you.

Book signing with me and other authors in New York City during the BEA (Book Expo America) Convention, on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, 655 West 34th Street.  This will be during the African American Book Industry Reception from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.   Located in Room 1E12 & 13
NOTE - Due to the number of authors attending, each author's signing will last for approximately 30 minutes during the reception.

BOOKSIGNING IN YONKERS, NEW YORK
I will be signing my books at the Waldenbooks in the Cross Country Shopping Center in Yonkers, New York on Saturday, June 2 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.   For directions to the store, their number is (914) 476-6900.   I’m looking forward to meeting my readers who live in that area.

THE ENTIRE MADARIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS SERIES ARE BEING REISSUED!! – Your requests will be answered when the entire Madaris Family and Friends Series get reissued, beginning later this year.   More information, as well as the release dates will be given in the June newsletter.

ON-LINE STORE TO OPEN IN JUNE!! -  My online store will open in June.  A “Brenda Jackson tote bag” will be given to the first 50 shoppers with purchases over $25.    You will get a special notice of the grand opening!   NOTE - No Madaris series Books will be available to purchase at the online store since these books will be reissued beginning later this year.  And no copies of Delaney Desert Sheikh will be available, since that book is in the process of being reissued along with another sheikh story – remember Sheikh Rasheed Valdemon from the Madaris series!   Additional information on this forthcoming 2-books-in-one will be in future newsletters.

BRENDA’S 50TH BOOK CELEBRATION

My 50th book, Slow Burn, comes out in November and I’ve begun getting ready for the celebration.   Everyone who went on the cruise received an autographed poster size copy of the cover of this book.  I will make available those same posters to others at a later date.   I will announce when in a future newsletter. 

I’m setting up a Memory Book where I want my readers to tell me what is their favorite Brenda Jackson book and why.   I will print out your comments and place in my memory book to keep and cherish always.
