Dear Reader,
Books go through many inceptions before they become that polished finished product that hit the bookstores across the country. Readers rarely get the chance to glimpse at those first, early, rough sketches of story and character. By the time you buy the book, a few things have changed, or in most cases, many things have changed before it becomes what you are holding in your hands.
Well, when you go into stores to buy your copy of Slow Burn, you will get a rare glimpse of some of my early plotline for the novel. Some of the description on the back of the book is actually from one of the very first plotlines I had for Slow Burn! Now this description is going to be on the first printing only. So while it’s obvious that it was never meant to make it onto the book, the first printing will become a collector’s item for many Madaris fans. At some point I may even share the whole evolution of the Slow Burn storyline, which has been quite interesting. But that’s for a much later date.
However, if you do manage to get your hands on a copy of the first printing of Slow Burn then you’ll want to hold on to it, because later on down the road there will be trivia, contests and prizes based on the information that was on the first printing only of Slow Burn.
Also in Slow Burn is a sneak preview of my April 2008 single title, Her Little Black Book, where I revisit with characters from earlier books – namely, The Savvy Sistahs and What A Woman Wants.
